NIIE has given out students another wonderful opportunity to visit Lavie factory last Tuesday at Long An province.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the factory’s manager, Mr Trần Thanh Hải, and other executive members. Before proceeding to the factory, every students had to went through a detailed safety instruction and put on lab blouses, hair covers, and metal-attached boots to prevent unwanted incidents

Then, we were split into two groups and led through several major operating chains. Everyone were at awe: the whole process were highly automated with impressive looking machineries, from bottle cap sealing robots to cardboard folding machines. In fact, there were only around 10 workers operating the chain that produces 48.000 bottles an hour.

After that, we visited the planning room where the factory set out important goals and indicators, and in the end received a presentation from the general director, Mr Mathiat. Accordingly, Lavie is a joint venture between the government of Viet Nam and Nestle Waters; started in Viet Nam in 1994 with a modest beginning, now Lavie has grown to be a powerful brand with 400 million bottles of water sold per year.

Finally, we all head back to NIIE with our heads still feel excited about such an amazing experience.
